Branding, E-Commerce and Product Imagery for the newest dog treats in town!Hello! So, I am finally back after a few months of let’s just say A LOT of work. It’s also so nice to be back writing again as I have not done this for a while (minus posting on social media) This leads me to my newest project with my fabulous client Franko Flex. To introduce the company, Franko Flex is a natural product for dogs that helps improve joint health and function. Ok, yes, it's not food...well not human food but when Frances first contacted me after seeing my work for a previous client, we spoke about her background, her product and her vision. I was hooked. Sometimes just listening to a clients story is captivating and after the the initial discovery call I was instantly intrigued and excited at the prospect of this project and what I could do for the brand. Focusing on a bright, bold colour palette, yet simplistic styling - it was safe to say I was excited! Most of my work is ‘messy’ so after hearing the brief I knew this was a project that would challenge my creative craft, this is when the ideas started flowing. Upon receiving the branding colours as well as discussing a mood board of ideas and styling, my first task was to shop for backdrops ensuring these complimented the products. I wanted these to be eye-catching but not overpowering that the product would be lost in the image. I started by shooting each individual product as a plain product shot and then began to experiment with lighting, shadows as well as the product in use to give the final consumer an accurate idea of what they are purchasing. From there we needed a banner image that would showcase all 3 products on offer. This hero shot now sits perfectly on my client’s website. Lastly, Frances needed clean cut e-commerce imagery to be used on Amazon. After sending though the requirements I captured all imagery needed to set up this new business on web, socials and e-commerce platforms. “We absolutely just love the photos, they are just making everything look complete.’’ – Frances Bishop, Owner Franko Flex. My equipment : For this shoot I used my Canon 5D MK VI with a 24mm-70mm lens (my absolute go to). For lighting I used both natural bright sunlight to capture the warmer stylised shots as well as my artificial light set up - Godox SL-60 LED Video Light and soft box.
